Donations received fund fund our two primary missions: outreach and transition support. Outreach operates as an independent mutual aid organization and receives some funding from other sources. Blossoming Transitions reimburses expenditures for supplies like propane, food, water, and necessities for inclement weather. The goal of transition support is to start with building lasting relationships with neighbors we’ve met through outreach, acting as a consistent point of contact while they navigate numerous systems on their journeys transitioning back indoors. We also help alleviate some small financial burdens so our neighbors can focus their energy on healing while transitioning into a new phase of life.
In the most recent 14 months of operation, our operating budget is a little over $13,000, spending about $991.39 per month and averaging a weekly interaction of 19 people. This puts our interaction cost at about $13.04 per person. These funds are all-inclusive for outreach and transition support, our two primary missions.
